Are you curious to understand more about how to draw faces? The human body and the human face all have their own symmetry. Learn how to visually analyze the proportions and how to apply them in your drawings. Based on ideas in Betty Edwards’ book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain", you will discover drawing techniques which trick the brain into seeing better. These techniques can help improve realistic drawing skills, as well as improve one’s understanding of perspective. Even beginners can use this method to achieve surprising results.

In this walk through the neighbourhood of Schwabing, you will begin to capture the essence of what you see, be it architecture, people or details. Your instructor will help you eliminate distractions and see and capture subjects with a more creative eye. During this walk you will practice setting up compositions, looking to all corners of the frame. The photo tour will give you the opportunity to practice what you learn.

"Everything that was rotten and bad in the Reich fled, as if by magic, to Munich", this is how Lion Feuchtwanger in his novel "Success" characterized the decade after the end of WWI, the time when Munich became the founding city and nerve centre of the Nazi party. On a tour of the historic city centre we explore buildings, streets, squares and memorials witnessing the birth, rise, reign, the crimes and atrocities and the downfall of National Socialism and its legacy as well as the role local authorities and the people of Munich played in it.

A dynamic yoga style in which the asanas (postures) flow into one another. The breath leads the movement. This intensive yoga practice strengthens the muscles, improves mobility and trains balance. The harmonious sequence of movements connects body, breath and mind. Previous yoga experience is beneficial.

In this weekend seminar you will obtain the essential skills required for the application of methods and techniques paramount to professional project management. You will also have the opportunity to practise the efficient implementation of a goal-oriented project. The following questions will be considered: What is project management and what is expected of you as an employee, sub-project leader or project leader? With the aid of theoretical segments and practical exercises you will learn the fundamentals from initialization, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling right through to the completion and benefits of a project. Furthermore, you will gain an insight into the sequencing and scheduling as well as the capacities and budgeting of a project. This seminar is in alignment with international standards of project management. It is a part of the Projektmanagement-Kolleg which completes the examination for certification as Project Manager MVHS (course no. U440565) but can also be visited as a standalone course.

The stone was and still is an essential part of the jewel. In this workshop we will concentrate on a few classical stone setting techniques such as the cabochon setting and prong setting. You will learn these classical techniques to develop and create your own design. We will mainly work with silver and semi-precious stones. Participants who want to work with gold should bring their own materials (including the soldering material). You are welcome to bring with you your own silver and stones; however, it will be possible to buy silver and a variety of semi-precious stones directly in the workshop.

The Munich Residence was home and seat of government of the Bavarian Dukes, Prince-electors and Kings from 1508 to 1918. Rooms and art collections such as the Antiquarium, one of the most magnificent Renaissance halls north of the Alps, and the Rich Rooms, pearls of the Rococo period, bear witness to the artistic sensibilities of the House of Wittelsbach. Further highlights of the tour include the "Rich Chapel" of Maximilian I and the renovated Königsbau with the royal appartments of Ludwig I.

Taijiquan and Qigong are traditional Chinese internal arts to harmonise and strengthen body, mind and spirit. Regular practice can bring better health, increased energy levels and a greater ability to deal with stress and pressure. The movements are energetic, elegant and subtle. With the right amount of patience, Taijiquan and Qigong are easy to learn and practice.

Our main focus is "The Camera". During this course you will become familiar with all your camera's most important functions and how to use them. You will also gain the technical know-how to start making the most of your digital SLR and develop a creative approach to photography as well as learning how to set the menu correctly to get the best technical results. We will go on location to shoot our pictures then evaluate them later in class.

Traditional Indian cuisine is often very complex. There is usually little time for it in everyday work and family life. In this course we will look at fast and simple Indian dishes which can be on the table in just a few minutes. We will cook a quick chicken tikka masala, an eggplant masala curry, spicy potatoes with fresh coriander and cumin, and a mung bean and lentil soup with Indian basmati rice. All dishes are very healthy, nutritious and gluten free. We will enjoy the dishes together with a saffron-mango lassi. Please bring: apron and small storage containers.
