Teaching high level learners

In this informal session, we'll look at strategies and advice for dealing with level differences within our classes. Using some recent examples given to us by the English department as a springboard for our discussion, we'll spend time sharing some of our own experiences. Our aim will be to provide some practical and reasonable tips for dealing with criticism, differences of opinion and assessing level suitability for a course. Ideally, you should have experience of teaching higher levels so you can contribute some of your own examples and tips to the session.
