Giesing was first mentioned in documents at the end of the 8th century as Kyesinga and was incorporated into Munich in 1854 then divided into the districts of Obergiesing-Fasanengarten and Untergiesing-Harlaching in 1936. For a long time Giesing was considered a classic working-class district and is now an attractive residential area. Together, we will stroll along the Obergiesinger main road Tegernseer Landstraße from the Grünwalder Stadium via the Giesinger Grünspitz and the 'Tela-Post' to the Ostfriedhof, with side views of gastronomic places, the 'Dom' Heilig Kreuz and the picturesque Feldmüllersiedlung.
