You have a knowledge of English comparable to level B1+ or higher and would like to improve your professional communication skills.
In this course, you will learn the technical language and terminology, specialising in architecture and construction. Following the textbook, you will learn technical vocabulary and grammar and practise pronunciation using construction-related texts. You will acquire the language skills for the respective planning and execution phases of a construction project, and also learn the differences to the German HOAI phases. We will also cover topics relating to urban planning, technical building equipment, sustainability and construction in existing buildings.
Prepare yourself for international projects or work in English-speaking countries.
The lecturer is an experienced architect, engineer and urban planner. He studied at the University of East London, is ARB registered and a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). He has extensive language and specialist knowledge of Anglo-Saxon planning and construction, which he is happy to pass on to colleagues.
